Choose Find (Command-F) from the Edit menu to open the Find window. Then type text you want to search for and click any of three boxes you want to use:
• Whole Word: searching for “per” finds only the word “per”; without Whole Word, it finds “paper” and “perfect” too.
• Case Sensitive: searching for “paper” finds only “paper”; without Case Sensitive, it finds “Paper” and “pAPer” too.
• Use Occurrence List: if you want to be able to go directly to any occurrence of the found text, instead of having to scroll to them sequentially.
Click the Find button to initiate the search. You can:
• Select any entry in the Occurrence List and click Show (or double-click entry) to scroll to it.
• Click Find window close box at any time. Choose Find (Command-F) to reopen the Find window and access the same Occurrence List again or find something new.
• Click Find Next or choose Find Again (Command-G) to scroll to the next occurrence of found text.
